En pratique, les chiens atteints pr\u00e9sentent une d\u00e9ficience de la coagulation sanguine, responsable d\u2019un <strong>risque accru de saignements <\/strong>prolong\u00e9s lors de traumatismes ou d\u2019interventions chirurgicales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/lapatteduloup.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/syndrome-de-scott.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2180\" style=\"width:307px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lapatteduloup.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/syndrome-de-scott.jpg 960w, https:\/\/lapatteduloup.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/syndrome-de-scott-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/lapatteduloup.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/syndrome-de-scott-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/lapatteduloup.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/syndrome-de-scott-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le d\u00e9pistage<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Bien qu\u2019aucun sympt\u00f4me ne soit propre \u00e0 cette pathologie, certains signes peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9v\u00e9lateurs, tels que :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Saignements prolong\u00e9s <\/strong>apr\u00e8s chirurgie mineure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ecchymoses cutan\u00e9es, <strong>h\u00e9morragies gingivales<\/strong>, <strong>saignements de la truffe<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>H\u00e9matomes sous-cutan\u00e9s ou musculaires apr\u00e8s traumatisme<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chez certains chiots : saignements pr\u00e9coces au moment de la chute des dents de lait<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;examen clinique chez un v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire recherchera des ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents de saignements disproportionn\u00e9s, un bilan h\u00e9mostatique pourra \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9 (m\u00eame si la num\u00e9ration plaquettaire et autres marqueurs sont souvent normaux) et des tests cibl\u00e9s peuvent \u00eatre n\u00e9cessaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un test ADN simple \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Un test ADN fiable permet d\u2019identifier les reproducteurs \u00e0 risque, d\u2019adapter les accouplements pour pr\u00e9venir la naissance de chiots atteints et limiter la propagation du Syndrome de Scott dans la race.<br>Chaque <strong>g\u00e8ne <strong>TMEM16F<\/strong><\/strong> (ou <strong>ANO6<\/strong>) \u00e9tant constitu\u00e9 de deux all\u00e8les (l\u2019un provenant de la m\u00e8re, l\u2019autre du p\u00e8re), ces all\u00e8les, qu\u2019ils soient sains ou mut\u00e9s, peuvent \u00eatre transmis \u00e0 la descendance. Cette mutation est h\u00e9rit\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re <strong>autosomique r\u00e9cessive<\/strong>.<br>Les r\u00e9sultats du test se divisent en trois cat\u00e9gories :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CSS\/CSS <\/strong>(homozygote pour la mutation) = <strong>ATTEINT<\/strong> : forte probabilit\u00e9 de d\u00e9velopper les sympt\u00f4mes du Syndrome de Scott et de transmettre le g\u00e8ne mut\u00e9 \u00e0 la descendance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>N\/CSS<\/strong> (h\u00e9t\u00e9rozygote pour la mutation) = <strong>PORTEUR<\/strong> : aucun risque de d\u00e9velopper les sympt\u00f4mes, mais possibilit\u00e9 de transmettre le g\u00e8ne mut\u00e9 \u00e0 la descendance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>N\/N<\/strong> (homozygote pour le g\u00e8ne normal) = <strong>SAIN<\/strong> : aucun risque de d\u00e9velopper ou de transmettre le Syndrome de Scott.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2023, le laboratoire Antagene a mis en \u00e9vidence, chez l&rsquo;Altdeutsche Sch\u00e4ferhunde, la mutation responsable du Syndrome de Scott d\u00e9j\u00e0 observ\u00e9e chez le Berger Allemand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le cadre de la <strong>reproduction des Altdeutsche Shaferhunde<\/strong>, l\u2019UCFAS n\u2019impose pas qu\u2019un d\u00e9pistage soit effectu\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La prise en charge et les traitements<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 ce jour, <strong>aucun traitement curatif du Syndrome de Scott n\u2019existe<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La prise en charge est essentiellement <strong>pr\u00e9ventive<\/strong> et <strong>symptomatique<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u00c9viter les chirurgies non indispensables<\/strong>, informer l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire du risque h\u00e9morragique.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prise en charge rapide et efficace lors des \u00e9pisodes h\u00e9morragiques, transfusion de plaquettes ou de sang.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Limiter les m\u00e9dicaments augmentant le risque h\u00e9morragique <\/strong>tels que les AINS (Anti inflammatoires non st\u00e9ro\u00efdiens).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Le pronostic d\u00e9pend du contexte clinique : un chien non expos\u00e9 \u00e0 des traumatismes ou interventions peut vivre normalement, tandis que les \u00e9pisodes h\u00e9morragiques majeurs ou les complications postop\u00e9ratoires peuvent mettre en jeu le pronostic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"races_touchees\">Quelles races sont les plus touch\u00e9es ?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>En Janvier 2024, le laboratoire Embark a publi\u00e9 des statistiques d&rsquo;apparitions du Syndrome de Scott dans le panel de Bergers Allemands test\u00e9s, donnant <strong>96.4 %<\/strong> <strong>de chiens sains<\/strong>, <strong>3.4 %<\/strong> <strong>porteurs<\/strong>, et <strong>moins de 0.1 %<\/strong> <strong>\u00e9taient atteints<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em><strong>\ud83d\udc49 Le syndrome de Scott est une maladie plaquettaire h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaire, dont les <em><strong>principales <\/strong><\/em>implications cliniques sont un risque de saignement disproportionn\u00e9 et des complications postop\u00e9ratoires.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sources<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-extra-small-font-size\">Antag\u00e8ne.
